| Why did my pet attack a linked mob?
I've been exp'ing in Carpenters Landing recently, sending beetles and pugils against the Orcs there. From time to time, I'm waiting close enough so that I can see the action, and another Orc will wander in and link. I would have expected my pet to continue to attack the mob I targetted with the Fight command. However, I have noticed on more than one occasion that my pet would change targets, and start attacking the linked Orc. There was even one fight where my pet died, the first Orc came at me, and I killed it quickly. Then, a second Orc came at me. And this Orc was clearly the link that my pet had also attacked, since it was down by about 30% HP when it came after me. I don't have Sic yet, so I know my pet didn't accidently generate hate against the link with an AoE. Has anyone else seen this happen?

Pets act as Mobs do. When some opponent gets more hate than another, it will attack it. You can release/let pet die and mob will not link to you unless you initiated some action against it. This is a major reason why BST in Dynamis do not ues pets unless they are paying super attention. Double Post Edited: You must have done a /pet fight or something to command the pet to attack the link and generate hate if it chased you down after.

One note, even if your pet starts attacking a linked mob on it's own, when it dies or if you use Leave, the linked mob will go back to it's neutral state and not attack you. It will only attack you if you made some sort of action on it yourself.

The first time I saw this, I thought "Oh crap, I MPKed my pet!" Then I thought, "Hey... I can MPK my pets! Ghetto Leave times two!" It turned out to not be a very good plan.
