Garliage Citadel----Next
Happy Belated Halloween Fellas. Finally hit Lvl 40 last night, Lvls 35-38 was pretty easy, after that Sea Serpents get slow and the undead there hate me for some reason. Just wondering how is Garliage Citadel for everyone, and should I go there this early or any alternatives besides the guide.

<------ only level 31... cant help ya

To be fair, I did cut short leveling BST this weekend after getting level 31, and did some BCNM's, and leveled WAR most of yesterday evening. I also got a PT with RDM Saturday night. This is all time I could have been leveling BST. On a bright note, I got to level 31 with no deaths... a couple close calls, but I didnt die.

Curious where I should level now. Should I stay in Korroloka and level off Spiders, crabs, pugils? I really cant think of a better place. Allakazahms guide says an alternate is Shakrami sending crawlers and bats against Gobs... {No thanks} or Qufim fighting DC giants and Pugils {Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass}

Also, when should I leave Korroloka, assuming I stay there for now?

Nice work Beastlord... youre flying now. BTW, what do you think of Leave? What strategies have come into play?

Yeh I stayed in Korroloka for a huge amount of time, until 33 if I remember right. It was hell, but kinda fun to me sometimes while it got boring I'd just take out the NM spider anychance I got. Sea Monks were fun to kill too. Yeh man after 35 it gets incredibly easier, all I need is two Even dependable pets and I chain hell on T'++s and Vts. My strategy is send in one even to weaken the mob to half health, while that I used that time to rest up from previous battle dmg, then release my even and send the other even in. Then I jump in after about 3 hits and release when there is little to no life left and snag the Xp and restart the process. I'm gonna say Sea Serpants Grotto is one of the funnest places I've soled, I never been there previously except running through for ninja quest with my eyes closed cause I was a measily 30war when I did. But those fishes are fun as hell to fight, theres like different job fishes Brd, Mnk, War, and a Whm in the area they're pretty cool to watch fight. The Whm is the most dangerous. 31-35 was pure hell to me man, try to find someone else to duo with if ness. Or try to get in a pt any chance u get as sad as that sounds.

Not what I was hoping to hear. Just out of curiosity, why was it hard? 31-32 seems like it will be pretty easy, since crabs/pugils/spiders are the best level with lots of DC, EM, and Tough (not ++)

As for 33-35, where did you level? East Altepa?

Re: joining a PT, I've prided myself so far in that I've soloed all the way, so it would be self-defeating to rely on a pt to progress (BST duo/trio dont count) I did join a pt at level 14 for a few hundred exp in Valkurm, but that few hundred exp came over a period of 90 mins... not hard to figure out why I left...

It just was annoyingly slow levels for me, thats all, not really hard or difficult.

But Yeh I made my way to the desert at 33 and stuck it out too, be prepared to be annoyed by pts. I also used my ghetto before leave command lol, where I used "Stay" when I knew they were gonna uncharm in a couple minutes and just run a good distance away and they wont come after u.

I'd stay clear of garliage as long as I can cause too many parties there and too many idiots.

Go to south part of yguntha jungle for goblins

later on, stay in bostinux obligate as long as you can. Great place to lv up all weapons by the way.

Then as quickly as possible, hop over to quicksands caves.

I never bothered with garliage solo after a while. It was just too annyoying with constant threats of gm calls and pet stealing and all sorts of other unpleasantness. I went there to duo and that was like 1000% better. If you get like 4 bst, then no parties can really push you around at all anymore.

And 4 bst can jump over to quicksands caves at lv 57/8 and stay there till lv 60. Then boyhada tree till whenver. You can solo really well in boyhada by lv 61+. But if you like your sanity, just get away from garliage as fast as you can espically if you are like me and have to play during prime time hours.

The Citadel is nice at 41, or 42. If you went closer to the banishing gate, fighting undead and beetles were pretty fun. As long as you keep blink up, you maybe can fight the pods. Not too sure about the bomb thou. Stay far away from it, for sure, until its health is low.
By low I mean sliver :p

Its also kinda nice at 51. Near the banishing gate 2 or 3.

I leveled from 39-43 in yuthunga jungle, south of the map killing giabling poachers, those gobs always drop a bomb and die, its a very fast spot, and always alone. XP is good enough to bring a friend, just watch out for the goblin robber that spawns in teh area.

The area with the soldier crawlers? Dont they aggro? I know they do in Crawlers Nest, so I never bothered em outside cause I hate nasty crawlers, yech They sound nasty when you hit them and they look creepy when they die!

Crawlers in Yuhtunga and Yhoator do not aggro. Killing Poachers in those two jungles can net you some incredibly fast EXP considering they almost always drop the bomb. I imagine it's even better since they upped the EXP cap.

you can do the jungle off of gobs, try out west altep, try out crawlers nest.. yadda yadda. I think I got to 42 in a trio in altep/crawler's nest. btw, killer mushrooms there make killer pets.

That spot in Yhotunga H-11 where the guide says is ok, just that most of the gobs there are IT to me and they pop very often in weird spots. So it takes me about 3-4 pets with me not getting involved at times cause they're bomb toss go for 134+dmg. So although I get 200xp per fight, even when I toss in a Tough Crawler, thats all I get 200. No Chains. Nothing. But I'll try to stick it out. If not, back to Western Altepa with those funky dhamels thats hard as hell to target when they're right on you.:dead:

Well, somehow it was easy and fast for me, actually I never died in that area. Once you figure out the spots and order how the poachers pop it gets easier and you wont even need to use wide scan.

I got to lvl 33 in korrokola tunnel (sp) i recommend the clipper room,if you luck out and no one else is around its a great spot.when you run out of clips and pugs head over to the spider room and kill them till the clips respawn.you might even find the NM spider pops in for a visit.

Sudo pretty much hit the nail on the head with this. However, if you're hell bent on leveling in 'Garbage Citadel', I'd suggest going at off-peak hours and really concentrate on exping fast before the waves of PTs arrive.

By the time you can safely charm beetles, you can also camp behind gate 2 as well. If there are other Bsts there, then gate 2 becomes just as bad. However, I'd rather duo with another BST in H-11 Quicksand Cave at W. Altep.

Bostineaux was quite nice too...but personally, I didn't like it that much either. Mid-50s is truly a testing time for all BSTs. It's a point in a BST career that will make or break you.
