promvlon end boss and bst

well I just went to my first promvillon-Holla or however you spell it.

Everyone got whiped on the end boss cause we didn't really know what was going on. If we had an anima or 2 we could have won.

But besides that I was wondering if any bst has tried this thing. I am only talking about the end boss.

I am thinking a funguar pet would be pretty good vs this thing.

Maybe a pt lv 6 bst vs this guy? Be fun to watch like a bcnm, 12 guys on 1.

The fight timer is 30 min so it is possible to summon a pet and then wait 5 min for timer refresh and then go in.

This guy was hitting a lv 30 war/nin tank in einh whatever gear for around 60 damage a wack.

High evasion so great axes were kind of useless on it. The enemy is easy to take down to 50% but then gets really hard all of a sudden so it is necessary to change fighting patterns.

Reward is definately necessary to cure sleep when enemy is at 50% and does his AOE.

Summon new pets when old die and then use 2hr ability to kick some bootay.

The main problem with the boss is that we ran out of healing MP. With 6 bst pets and all using zeta foods, I think it'd be damn hard for it to kill all the pets. Everyone HQ crabs and it'd be 12 guys meleeing on one boss with good tanking and excellent damage. Bst/nin would work pretty good here. But an all bst pt, I don't know what ppl should sub since buffs are absorbed by the nm.

Just a wild idea. Anyone got any input?

Was also thinking the same thing. Hopefully my LS come around to actually doing it,
only problem I really see is the orbs fights and also actually getting there :D
For the few times I went as BST I used on-screen dmg so couldn't tell how well pet was doing but the whole idea seems like fun to say the least

Boss fight would be easy if 6 pets can last a good 3mins.

Me and a friend was thinking about going in there and just farming the 1st floor with some cheap rabbit jugs. I have the empty killer gear on layaway still, just I'm not sure if you can escape from there if we get in trouble and if the mob will zone with us :sweat: from what I seen with teleport/npc zones If you have aggro with something it will zone with you and scare the hell out you and eventually kill you. I/E funnel Bats in King Rampieres Tomb. And if you have something charmed it follows you to korroloka tunnel from the gate guard npc. But BST should fare well in Promethias

Now BST isn't my main job, but I do have some slight experience with Promyvion-Holla(which I still have not beaten). The main problem I see is that the Holla boss does AoE Drain. I'm sure you know why it's a pain in the ass for people to gawk at you while fighting skeletons, and I'm thinking you might have similar problems using 6 pets with 6 people whacking away.

And I know you are only talking about the end boss, but I think BST is perfect for Memory Receptacles as well. After watching a SMN and BST use their pet and avatar respectively on an MR, I noticed that the Strays were not aggroing the pets at all! Perfect for taking down the MR without the annoying Empty Seed going off if a BLM or RNG takes a few steps too close.

I really wanted to try the prom bcnm bosses with a party of Bsts but none of the SMNs I pt with have bst over 20 :X.. Sucks..

I can kind of see 6 bsts taking it down though.. possibly a death or two but doable.. We did all the proms with 5 SMNS and a BRD lol.. Think the battles lasted under 3mins with 5 Astral flows going off :X..

When I get bst to 30 I want to try your idea out if I can find other bsts that want to give it a go

whats the anima do?

I went on a Dem mission and we almost got the last boss killed but then with tiny bit of life left he spawned lil versions of himself called Spawns. There was like 4 of them by the end and that is how he won. :mad: I went as my WHM but i do see BST with pet being very handy as its the same concept as SMN in the fighting. I think fungar pets would be a good idea as well.

Holla does not use AoE drain, it is single targeted. If can be blocked by having at least 1 buff up. Having a secondary mage with /WHM is a must.
