Alright still a noob here when it comes to end game. Bear with me please.

Ok I know there is AF1 gear. I have also heard of BST only gear dropping in Dynamis. I have also heard about crafted-only BST gear. I am also heard of AF2.

Hehehe ya I had no idea what the differences with all these terms either and this is my rudimentary understanding of it all

AF1 = your axe, get the quest at lv 40

AF2 = the quest for the beast gaiters (feet)

AF3 = the quest for the lv 60 pants

The gloves are not called AF2 but has it's own designation I think cause almost all the jobs need the same quest. This is commonly called the "Dark Spark" quest

The helmet and jackcoat are coffer drops and not really called anything cept your "other AF" pieces

Dynamis drops the "Relic Armor" set for all jobs. Some people tend to call them AF2's or AF-series 2. This is lv 70+ stuff. I believe it's best to call them relic armor instead of AF2 as this is a specific quest for the feet at lv 52.

All jobs have certain JSE. That means equipment only we can wear. This includes our AF stuff as it is "Job Specific Equipment"

Some such items are the lv 50 tamer's ring, the tabar axes (wrath tabar/karakaban's axe), Broths even, and uh... I don't think there's much else but if someone thinks of other stuff help list some.

As to crafted only bst gear... I can't think of any off hand. Anyone know?

Just did my AF1 for my BST. Gonna share the magical story (since a lot of websites kinda skim over this, so lack of information kinda sucked).

So, went to Brutus in Upper Jueno (G-7). He's by the chocobo stations. Asks you to get something from delfack tower. I accepted the quest as a BST40.

Then, I changed to my RDM45 and went with my friend (RDM62), and we went to the 10 floor of delfacks (long long walk, wish I had flee). We then proceeded to kill all the gigas on the 10th floor. After 2-3 hours of killing gigas (and me getting tired and fustrated), a key finally dropped. Then I patrolled the 10th floor (while my friend patrolled the 8th and 9th floor). Found the chest after 45 minutes (guess someone else was opening up the chests, damnit).

Opened the chest, warpped outta there, changed back to my BST, and gave Brutus the key item from the chest.

Got my axe, happy ending ^^

Chests spawn on the 8th, 9th, and 10th floor.

Delfack's chest key is what you need.
Not the delfack's key (used for that stupid elevator).

"Nah, it's a coffer key that I need."

/short version

Hit 40.
Got quest.
Went to help LS members with RSE.
Died and deleveled. :/
Went to tower alone.
Got to top floor alone.
Killed Gigas until key dropped alone.
Got key and level 40 off same mob.
Chest was in room with Poly and elevator.
In and out in maybe two hours. Two stacks of mayflies lighter.
Went back to static three BST PT.

I would like to hear more on AF2, because everywhere I look I dont hear a map grid or exact location. I hate to take ppl out there and say, "Ah its out here somewhere." PPL get discouraged by doing AFs if that person dosnt have thier info fully.

Please post your experience and where exactly the AF NM is in that zone.
