About the chasing after mobs, I've noticed that if you're trying to melee them while locked on, you will never melee them. However if you run into where they're running you can get some melee in. Whether or not you can catch up to one of them is another story..

Well, I'm only lvl 33, and when farming my broth pets hit for more than most of the high lvl RDM's and PLD's farming there (on too weak monsters though, but still...). I imagine the high level +1 broth pets are going to allow BST to keep up with any damage dealing class...

he is talking about charmed pets, broth pets just dont compare HP wise to charmed pets. i started charming caveberries and those guys easily have 2k + hp next time i lvl i will sum up the hp mid 40's.

broth pets have alot of hp but no where near the same as a good even pet. broths really hit hard against worthless but broths against a tough hit as hard as you do anyways crawlers nest owns for exp 40-44 so far.

BST god fights wouldnt really work. For example, the Orcish Overlord is surrounded but nothing but orcs... good luck taming them.

The problem is, most of the higher HNM's have such high def, your pets as well as your melee will do no damage to them. In most cases, you can only damage them one of 2 ways:

1- Magic
2- Gathering TP on surrounding enemies, 300% Spirits Within.

Correction, now I'm saying it. You mods are A BUNCH OF FUCKING NAZI'S

I plan to live forever.. so far so good.

broths yah...dont have as much hp. take for instance, a lv 60 Robber Crab has about 4k XP.......a lv 60 CourrierCarrier pet has about 3000-3500, not a BIG difference, but.....a siginificant one; but the damage is nice. lv 62 funguas familiar on a lv 60 robber crab; was dealing 60-100 dmg hits. pvm is sweet :D

Not for any type of fight that you have to zone to... that has nothing there for you to tame; or for HNM's surrounded by horribly weak monsters (Roc for example)

Ok I think you guys are clueless as far as the Gods go No offense. There are 5 gods. I cant remember all the names but some are Genbu, Seryuu, Kirin ( god of all the gods), and there are 2 others. Each one corresponds with a cardinal direction in Tu'lia ( i think its Tu'lia anyway). There is a normal NM you must kill for each to get a Seal to be able to fight the lesser 4 gods. After defeating these and getting thier hella expensive drops you also get another seal. Get all the seals from all the lesser gods, and you can go fight Kirin who has been know to SLAUGHTER 2+ alliances of 70's. Reason being: during the fight ( around half health) he summons all the other gods to fight along side of him. So now you arent jsut fighting kirin who is strongs himself... but you are also fighting 4 other HNM gods. These gods dont follow normal claiming rules since they are arena fights. Anyone there can fight it ( hence the more than one alliance). These gods hold the key to unlocking the most powerful armor in the game to date. The cursed armors. The gods drop an abjuration that is used to remove a curse from one item in the cursed set. There are different abjurations, which is how you get the different armors. This being said. A few bsts in the alliance can occupy the other gods in the kirin fight long enough to take down kirin and then beat down the other gods. So we arent useless in these fight. SO many people are needed that even BSTS will be welcome.

Side question, since the topic is on the "gods"

How does the drop for Kirin work. If all alliances can fight it, does everyone get to lot on the item, or is it only for the alliance who's member kills the Kirin?

He mentioned its an arena fight so drop is proably just like a bcnm. Im just guessing here.

Also the 4 god fight isnt really lvl 75 content so why even use this as an example lots of jobs seem to be totally useless using this argument. When ive gone on quests i can use my 2hour to charm something much higher then my lvl making me more usefull at lower lvls. Broth pets do damage just fine. Damage wise i can keep up with the heavy damage dealers in lvl up pts. Though their abilty to bring massive damage to the skill chain is much greater then mine. To many people write off a class just because they dont understand it. BST in pt using a good pet like a funguar can get really nice status afflictions from the pets sp as well as decent damage(assuming its really uncapped). Though the broth or charmed pet determines our usefullness.
