BST "Trick Attack"
Ok, so Bigbirdd found this out while him and I were lvling in The Boyoda Tree the other night. It was actually a very very remarkable find that seems to be unknown or people don't speak a god damn word of, lol.

What is this BST "Trick Attack"?
Well, you know how Thief's have Trick Attack which tricks the monster to thinking the person behind the Thief that used Trick Attack dealt that damage? Well, this sorta works in the same way, but ours is INDEED an ACTUAL TRICK, lol

Our Tests
First, Birdd and I tested this on Robber Crabs using 2 Death Caps. Our test (which seemed to be a complete accident); we set out like any normal fight, 2 Death Caps, 2 BST's on one VT Robber Crab. I got to the point where I had 100% TP, so I used Rampage which gave me the hate away from our pets. Bigbirdd used Smash Axe which stunned the Robber Crab for about 1 second; afterwards the Robber Crab was unstunned and turned back around to the previous Death Cap it was attacking BEFORE I used Rampage to take hate. :D

Second test. To make sure it wasn't just a fluke we tested out the above technique more than once, each time working. So, the second test was to provoke the monster with Cure3; being hurt enough so Cure3 would heal the caster fully. I was again the test subject ~~; So, I Rampaged, took 200-300 damage, turned around and let the pets regain hate, used Cure3 which basically acts like a Provoke and regained the hate. Birdd used Smash Axe and then after it was unstunned, it went back to the pet :D :D Yaaah!! We did this about 2 or 3 times to make sure it worked ^^

Third test. We were rather zealous now of this new found technique of giving our pets back hate. So, we went to an extreme. Started the battle off like anyother except we wouldnt let our pets attack at first. I had 100% TP; used Rampage, gained hate at the begining, took about 400-500 damage. We set our pets on Attack and let them take the hate away from myself. I used Divine Seal + Cure 3 which surely gave me all the hate back. Birdd used a 300% TP Smash Axe to stun the Robber Crab. Unfoutunetly tho, it didnt turn back on the pet ><

Recap
Sooo, it is actually a very remarkable find. I couldn't believe it when I saw it ^^ However, there is a limit to how much hate the BST can have in order to switch the hate back to your pet, but damn you can have a pretty damn good amount of hate on you to get this to work

Does this work solo?
From what I tested when Bigbirdd logged that night, it does ^^ Hell yah !! It's a very nice tool to use if you are hurting, out of mp, and the monster has YOU on sight of death I love Smash Axe to death now :D ^^

a little update. Birdd and I went to Cape Terrigan and did some Beach Bunny's and Sand Lizards on the Gob's out there. It seems beastmen type monsters have a different way of hate. It didnt work at first; Rampage, Cure3, Smash, hate back to pet. Beastmen seem to only be able to take a certain amount of hate aside from regular monsters.......less hate that is. We could only rampage then smash; i think that chained too (reverbation) but then it moved back to the Lizard or Bunny.

so basically if I understand you correctly is that if:

I have 100% TP

I have a pet that is fighting the monster

I got agro through some action

I use smash axe

Pet gets the hate?

Do I have to be in some sort of position relative to my pet for this to work?

Something like how a trick attack needs someone to transfer hate to? :spin:

correct; no position that i know of matters

slight update: you probably wouldn't think this, but Dia is a DOT and does indeed give that extra hate at lower lvs to make this work....just the bad thing, Dia is something you cant turn off on the mob ><
