I would grab rock lizards and fight sheep, or grab sheep to fight sheep. At level 12 you will have decent-tough sheep and decent-even lizards. If you are careful you can try to have a decent fight a tough, and cast some spells on the tough during the fight to even it out. I found this an easy way to make 100-120 xp a kill. Now im level 13 in the same spot because im too low yet to tame lizards in valkurm. Hope this helps ya Bitesized- Taru BST/WHM- Asura

Hares are found near the zone from La Theine to Valkurm.
And Lizards are mainly found near the zone from K. Highlands to Valkurm. You can also find them in the most north western area of Valkurm but there are quite a few gobs up there and no zone. "From the void all things are born.

Dont follow the guide so strictly , she is giving good combos to use (pet>monster) but u dont have to folow them exactly because the hell if im gona wait 10 mins for a rabit to spawn to use as a pet.
Use what ya have, if u cant find a decent pet to take down that even match, then heck just use 2 easy prey pets(whatever it takes).
My point is, there is no real ONE way to level, because too many things will afect how you level up in an area as a beastmaster.
Ya have to use your brain, its not like in a regular 6 man party where u repeat the same thing over and over again. For BST every fights gona probably be diferent.

The way i do it, at least at the lvl i'm @ is :
I get an even , let's say funguar, and I put it up against another even funguar. If mine is about to win, i'll use heel. Then, once mine has died, I kill off the other for 100 exp without loosing barely any health.
Is there anything wrong with this? Is there any better way? I'm just kinda confused right now | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 01-01-2004, 07:55 PM | #24 (permalink) | | Member Join Date: Dec 2002 Posts: 678 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 1,504 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 1,504 Donate | nope ^^ i did that a lot too, but i found out that just massing easies is much more effective, loose less hp out of all of them, get crap load of loot...may seem it takes a long time, but it really doesnt.. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 01-02-2004, 12:59 AM | #25 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Nov 2003 Posts: 81 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 440 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 440 Donate | So, with using easies and decents, do you still want ur charm to die? If so, don't you think it's just too much trouble to find another mob to charm, i mean... time wise, when you could be rakin' in 100-120 exp with evens and toughs? | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 01-02-2004, 06:09 AM | #26 (permalink) | | Member Join Date: Dec 2002 Posts: 678 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 1,504 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 1,504 Donate | with decents with high def i try and kill my charm, but with just easies...i jsut keep going. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 01-06-2004, 08:32 AM | #27 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2003 Posts: 197 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 197 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 197 Donate | | Quote: | Originally posted by Keftenk Crawlers Nest
Ok, so I soloed there today, xp can be very fast in some areas of the nest, but usually is very very irritating to have to run from stupid people training 15 crawlers to zone and what not. ugh, then it takes forever for the crawlers to get back to their spawn points, but anyways. i soloed there for about 2 hours today, only really xping for a hour or so and was able to get 2400xp, just a heads up to all you new bst going to the CN. There are probably better places for us since that place is so camped >< | This is for level 40+ Leatha Crafta Masta

Besides that, you will have lots of pets to choose from, I liked using the Decent-even matched bees >>> decent - even crawlers (easy to tame and their special heals themselves ^_^)
Another spot for lvl 40-42, is Yuhuntunga Jungle. There is an underground area that has lots of decent-even crawlers that you can use against the Goblins
But the best way is for 2 - BSTs, they will be able to chain the IT goblins for incredible exp. With my friend i got 4k exp in about 1.5 hours. 0.o Im not joking (to bad i was sleepy ; . Best thing for you all to do is meet other bsts your lvl, you wont want to solo again(after lvl 35).
And a 3rd Spot for level 42-43(maybe can go alitle higher) is West Altepa Desert.
There you can use spiders >> Worms (silence them!!!) for awesome exp. If you have 2 bsts you can take the IT Anticans, and probably even the IT dhamels as well. But easiest would be chaining the worms.

or wouldn't just putting "evens" vs. "evens" be a happy middle ground through-out all levels (good xp and good kill time)?... | | ::Quote Selected:: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT -8.
