At higher levels is beast tamer good?

I was looking around thinking about theif/ranger but beast master looks fun and I was wondering if beast master is good at higher lvls.

For example, could I tame monsters that could compare to monsters I would be leveling on at higher levels?

I was curious about this as well... I'd like it If Beastmaster becomes very useful at (much)higher levels and I it'd add to the complexity of the game as well. Who knows... maybe with expansions and Level Cap raises this could end up one of the better jobs... well I can hope can't I? It's really a pity that this class isn't as good as it could be, it's such a good idea.

Yes, BST get stronger after lv 35, and with a 'good' pet, it can be rated to be just as strong as monks and dark knights.

But it get rather boring after lv60s, after the AF chase was over, solo lvlling seems routine.
