Re: Qufim Island*
I mainly used charm as a mini voke to keep hate off the mages pre 23, beware charm has a lot of hate, not as much as voke but you need a reliable tank for bst are not.

The jugs you can only use at the moment are sheep and rabbit. Rabbit are more reliable than sheep. The prime targets in Quifim are worms, bats, gigas, pugs, crabs.

A lot of variety for mobs, and your pets are only 2 unless you happen to get homonculus which would be a waste.

Nq jugs function almost as well as hq here you wont notice much difference trust me.

Bring a lot of pet food grand slam takes about 1/4-1/2 of the pets life it varys a bit either way you want to make the most out of the 15 min pets

Double Post Edited:
forgot to add most of what i will/am/have posted will be pt play

Re: Qufim Island*
Qufim is very good at 25 and up to maybe 30? I can't remember clearly when I went to Carpenter's Landing but I'm still soloing in qufim as my NIN29/BST14. It was probably doable to 32-33 when you can move to Gusgen Mines but I tried various camps between 29-33 while leveling BST so I can't really say.

Qufim /daylight/:
At 25 the best target I found were the worms. This is was probably the first place where I really started to chain in solo play. There are EM crabs and EM bats in the tunnel leading to Jeuno but they are rather rare at 25. Worms aggro sound, Gigas aggro sight (very short range). Both also link.

Try to find EM pets and fight worms. You join your pet in fights after a few attack rounds. Worms have AoEs that will hurt a bit it shouldn't be too bad if you have a sub with curative spells (WHM, PLD, RDM, ?BLU?). There's quite a lot of worms all around, try to scout the area before you start exping to find the best spot for yourself. The pond area is very good if there's no parties there, otherwise I'd leave it alone.

As you get levels you'll find more EM and some DC crabs and fighting becomes easier. Pugs are good pets to use when you get in their level range.

Around 27 you can start fighting Gigas also or at least when worms are starting to be DC and breaking your exp chains. Gigas also have some nasty moves so be sure you have a backup pet ready. You can kill The BST gigas pets for very easy exp if you feel like it. They have a lot less HP than normal mobs at their level so they're very easy to kill.

Qufim /nighttime/:
Wights! Wights everywhere!!! They aggro sound and low HP very far away so it's another good opportunity to practice your aggro dodging skills. Bats also spawn at night and they make great pets against those nasty skeletons. Tribats especially do very well against skeletons, I never really figured out why.

At 25 Wights might be bit tough but they really give very nice exp for a lot of levels. It's bit risky to fight along side with your pet because of skeletons' AoEs but you can do that if you feel brave. Just remember if your HP goes to yellow, all the skele's buddies are gonna come along. The safest way is to send a pet after them, look for another and repeat as your last pet dies. Bats do well against Skeletons in general but don't be afraid to use crabs or even pugs when you get higher and you can find EMs.

Nighttime exp is usually better than daytime because of Wight killing at least when you get bit higher in this area. You can use Acro--something(leeches) as pets later but I left Qufim before trying it out so information about that.

NOTE: |Fun Stuff|
You remember the cliff where you had to get flowers in your BST flag quest? You remember the Kraken there? Right? You know... you can CHARM that thing! Get a friend to heal you while you try to charm it and use Familiar (your 2h) when you land a charm. It's absolutely hilarious to rape everything in sight with that thing. I remember that I couldn't stop laughing for the 30 mins the charm lasted. Just kill whatever you like for 30 mins! Now the level gap between you and your pet is huge so he will give you a BIG exp penalty but can still kill veyr fast and get some decent exp by doing this. I did it mostly for the laughs but it's ok exp also.

Blunt damage and high evasion coupled with dark resistance to that AOE drain move.

Re: Qufim Island*
I went here at 31 and all the leeches were still T++ to me... So I devised a new strategy w/ the newly placed Bounty Hunter goblin mobs. They give about 120-200 a kill for a TOUGH. These are amazing. So my overall suggestion for this lvl:
Greater Pugil >> Bounty Hunter (DC>>T)

Edit: By the way, do EVERYTHING to keep from linking these on to yourself or having them hit you multiple times... they can tear you to pieces.
