NOT perfect for

Whiner DDs that want their own specific songs so now I have to sing two different things for everyone... e.g.:

"I'm a haste build, give me double March!"

"I need Accuracy so I can use my Spear instead of my Great Katana!"

"I'm a heavy attack build, give me double Minuet so I can break cap!"

"I'm a whiney b__ch give me double Operetta!"

I think of it more like saying that I don't need to yell at Paladins not to move around so much anymore.

It also means that I can stop telling my TP-burn front liners to "Stay away from the mage!" They always end up crowding around the mage for some reason and I have to go pull and they WON'T move so....

"Everybody gets Ballad" is now a thing of the past.

I hate to complain, but they couldn't have made it 10s? Ballad takes 8 seconds to perform without any fast cast, and as any BRD will tell you you do NOT have 7+ seconds to just sit on your ass twiddling your thumbs (this is assuming you've already buffed the other members)

I'm grateful for the JA but the recast is a tad long given the break-neck pace of (a good) BRD.

It lasts for a WHOLE MINUTE.

Last I checked that's enough time to cast 7 buffs, and at "break-neck" Bard speed I cast only about 2 buffs per pull, and the most I do on a single pull is usually 4 (and I generally only do that with Nightingale up).

With this I could easily squeeze off 6.

Yeah, reading the OP, it says "next song". That inclines me to think of it as BRD Seal.

The song lasts its usual duration, the ability effect stays one minute or until it is used.

In a party that's not a fast pull XP PT, the 15 second recast is trivial.

Also, if you're the pulling BRD in 2xBRD Meripo (the one with the tighter speed requirement), you don't need to ballad because the stationary bard will do that.

AND

If you do your songs in the right order:

Minuet > March > Pianissimo > Ballad,

you'll have March II on before you Pianissimo and your recast will drop to 13.5 seconds. If you have Wally Turban (5%) and Swift Belt (4%), that'll put you at 12.15 seconds. Add Haidate (5%): 11.4 seconds. If you can push March II to 11%, you can do: 11.25 seconds. Goliard Saio (4%): 10.65 seconds.

Of course if you max your gear-related haste you're at 25% + 11% = 36% overall, or 9.6 seconds.

There you go Malacite! It's your new goal... Acquire enough Bard Haste gear to get your Pianissimo Recast Timer down to 10 seconds or less. ^^

You can also buy Dusk just to swap in before you use it.
