Since there are no macros, it makes playing BRD to the non-Japanese difficult. Even me, who is nearly fluent, still has issues. I translated each song name to Romanji for ease of use and put directions on how to take that romanji and make it work in the macro in the files.
I wanted to post this list on Wiki..... but I have no goddamn clue on how to do it! >_>;;
If anyone wants to help me with that, message me. Thanks a bunch guys!
By the way, if you hadn't noticed the guide is attached as a zip file. I included a .doc version and an .html version. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 10-15-2007, 09:35 PM | #2 (permalink) | | Sticky Paws Keeper of Knowledge Join Date: May 2006 Location: Southern California Posts: 2,860 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 235 Thanked 604x in 393 Posts Gil: 8,917 Bank: 79,407 Total Gil: 88,324 Donate | Re: Japanese Bard Song Translation Table I can put this up for you, but which Wiki do you want it on?
There are FFXIclopedia and BG Wiki. Allakhazam also has one in the works, but I don't know enough about it to put this info there.
How do you want to be credited? "Skiewalker"? “ I’m in pain, but I’m happy.”

You're awesome.
I guess post it on the main wiki. I've never heard of the other one.
As for credit, just Skiewalker - Quetzalcoatl server. ^^

It's currently placed as a sub-page of my user page. Once all entries are in, it'll be moved to somewhere more public.

Some questions/notes:
ディ:
You've romanized it as dei, but since it's how Japanese handle loan words with dy or di, I've decided to go with di. Hope you don't mind.
Lv.11: 健闘士のマドリガル
I believe that should be 剣闘士のマドドリガル (けんとうしのまどりがる) instead, which is kentoushi no madorigaru, and not kentou samurai no madorigaru.
Lv.13: 闘羊士のマンボ
This should be とうようしのまんぼ, so touyoushi no manbo instead of tou hitsuji samurai no manbo. “ I’m in pain, but I’m happy.”
“ It hurts, but I can smile.”

I worked on it rather late so I wasn't 100% in the right state of mind. 「~ディ」 should be "di" or something like that. I don't know what I was thinking!! >_> Also 「士」 should be "shi," not samurai.
I'm not completely fluent, and some kanji I had to cross reference. Sorry for the mistakes.
Would you like me to re-edit it and fix the mistakes then upload it later? Sorry for causing all this trouble. Will work on it some more tonight.
BTW, I find the FF11用語辞典 to be a very good source of info. In particular, it has hiragana for all the terms, as well as the English equivalents, making it quite useful for translation work. “ I’m in pain, but I’m happy.”
“ It hurts, but I can smile.”

I'm gonna work on it tonight if I can't get a party going. Otherwise I'll send the new list tomorrow. I found a couple of mistakes, which is good so I can add these to my notes. It's mostly me picking the wrong kanji (i.e. 『士』).
Thank you very much for helping me! It seems like you deserve most of the credit! w | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 10-18-2007, 12:02 AM | #8 (permalink) | | Sticky Paws Keeper of Knowledge Join Date: May 2006 Location: Southern California Posts: 2,860 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 235 Thanked 604x in 393 Posts Gil: 8,917 Bank: 79,407 Total Gil: 88,324 Donate | Re: Japanese Bard Song Translation Table Complete Lv.40 now.
Notes:
Lv.31: 狩人のプレリュード
Should be かりゅうどのぷれりゅーど, so karyuudo no pureryuudo instead of kariudo no pureryuudo.
Lv.36: 耐光カロル第一楽章
Should be たいこうかろるだいいちがくしょう, so using taikou karoru dai ichi gakushou instead of tai hikari karoru daiichigakushou.
Lv.40: 耐波カロル第一楽章
It's たいはかろるだいいちがくしょう on the JP site I listed earlier, so using taiha karoru dai ichi gakushou instead of tai nami karoru daiichigakushou. “ I’m in pain, but I’m happy.”
“ It hurts, but I can smile.”

The project has gotten a little larger than I thought it would've been, but all that's left now is to get someone to move it to a proper place.
