How much of a estimate boost to evasion does Mambo 1/2 give? 15/25 Obviously we dont know, but do we have any estimates.
What about March?
RDM haste gives 15% to recast and 12.5 to attack speed according to RDM forums.
Does anyone ever use Minne?
How much does Carol give?
I am compiling an advanvced bard guide, and looking to put in this sort of information in. And I really hate testing and fact checking lol. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 07-20-2005, 02:06 PM | #2 (permalink) | | Member Join Date: Dec 2003 Posts: 985 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 6,381 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 6,381 Donate | Re: Advanced bard questions march is supposedly 5% + 5%, 7%+7% if you have the +2 instrument
carol gives about 40-50 at high levels if i recall correctly 63/63 maps obtained | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 07-20-2005, 05:18 PM | #3 (permalink) | | Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: University of Arkansas Posts: 934 Style: Dark - Version 5 Thanks: 0 Thanked 1 Time in 1 Post Gil: 17,297 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 17,297 Donate | Re: Advanced bard questions | Quote: | | In another thread, someone estimated that Madrigal adds 15/25 accuracy. | Not an estimate, it is measureable. The numbers are from Applepie. I have personally confirmed sword madrigals numbers, but haven't taken time to confirm blade madrigals.
Sword madrigal is +15 (+4 with +2 instrument)
Blade madrigal is +25(+4 with +2 instrument)
However, you can't measure evasion bonus from mambo like you can madrigal. Thus, beyond guessing or finding hit rate averages over a long period of time, I don't see a way to calculate it.
No one uses minne ever because the only one it benefits is plds, but plds get more benefit from ballad1 and 2. Nin and war/nin tanks don't get hit enough to warrent giving up minuet or madrigal. Oh and does anyone know if Prelude is the same as Madrigal? 15/25? victory is 5%
with +2 march instrument:
advancing is 7%
victory is 7%

Advancing + Victory March with +2 instrument provides more Haste effect than the Haste spell (tested).

it was a bunch of tests with the different haste gears and spells including garuda, trying to get the highest possible haste, and the person worked out what all the items were based on timing 100 swings of his weapon
anyway i remember he said 5+5 or 7+7 w/ instrument but as i can't find the post i can't back it up  63/63 maps obtained | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 07-22-2005, 02:52 PM | #8 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2003 Posts: 487 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 545 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 545 Donate | Re: Advanced bard questions I always thought it was more like 10 + 10, or 12 + 12 with instrument. March + March with unrelated Instrument < Haste spell < March + March with +2 instrument.
I've always thought Haste was 20%, and that unassisted March was 9%, +1% per +1 bonus.
I can't swear to it, but with 8% Haste gear and a Haste spell, my recast rate on 1 minute recast spells like Raise III drops to around 40 seconds or so, so 15% seems wrong to me. I'll try to pay more attention next time I cast long recast spells to see.
