Question about instruments

Musical instruments go in which slot? Range, sub, main?? Also is it like eq, that some instruments are better than others even though they are the same kind (string, wind, etc)? Are different kinds of songs effected by the type of instrument used? Also are instruments created, found on monsters or both? Lasty do some instruments have any stats on them like +cha or anything like that?

They are only better depending on their bonus's. You wouldn't play a Minuet using a Wind Instrument that gives +1 to Minne. You'd use a Wind INstrument that gives +1 to Minuet

Are different kinds of songs effected by the type of instrument used?

Again, Depends on the Bonus ON the Instrument.
If a Harp gives +1 Etude. When you play an Etude with that harp, it'll will be better than if you played it with a Harp that give Nothing

Both.
Found on Monsters, Synthesized through Guild, and Bought off NPC's in Bard Shops.

Not that I am aware of. But some do have + to Elemental Resists, and + to specific songs

i am currently using a lvl 20 " royal spearman's horn," which gives my bard a +3 to charisma. that is the only bonus on the horn.

it also gives a +1 to march.

its a pretty cool instrument . it may seem odd, but the +3 to cha at lvl 20 seems better than any of the instruments ive seen at higher lvls. am i wrong?
