I ran all the way down to bastok from san O'dria and I didnt know you had to buy maps and somehow i made it there even though i was only level 5. I'm now level 7 but without a map it might be hard to get back, and it took about 2 hours to make the trip last time XD my in game screen name is Keiranvyis. Just buy a map from one of the NPCs in Bastok that sell them, and head back on foot. It's not really too rough. Or you could just stay in Bastok until level 10ish, and go to Valkurm, level some more, and then walk back to Sandoria. If so, choose a job you havn't levelled i.e. a lvl 1 job and go outside bastok pull lots of mobs and bloodport back.
