Why can't we?

We change the color/hairstyle all the time in real life? Why not in Vanadiel?

We choose the hairstyle and color when we first begin the game but we cant change it later if we decide we don't like it.

They have discussed this before. However, the way they worded it sounds like maybe not in the near future. I think the last time it was brought up was at the Fanfest this winter.

There's probably some technicality that makes dat swaps against the Terms of Service, but whatever. I don't post my character's name and I never actually mess with important stuff, so I haven't had any problems.

I do think it is a bannable offense as it is messing with the game coding.

But knowing my luck... If I get a few of these, I would get banned. >.<

It technically only messes with the coding on your client, messing with coding on the server would be ultimate bannination. So technically using dat swaps is like using windower, as long as you don't tell the world nobody will know.

.dats are pretty much accepted, as long as you're not using them for things like making mining points and treasure chests easier to find.
