Re: Will the price of Dynamis ever drop?
To lead off of what kitten is saying:

1. For most dropped materials below 50 skill, pick the AH that corresponds to the guildhall for that skill. I.E. bonecraft items sell really well in Windurst.

2. For higher level stuff, pick Jeuno.

3. When you get to an AH, read the price history, then stop. Turn around and walk to the nearest shop, see what they'll give you for your item. People don't do this often enough, which is why you can sometimes make a lot of money NPCing items off Jeuno's AH.

4. Completed crafted work of normal quality almost always sells on the AH for less than the materials to make it. On the other hand, it can sell for much more to an NPC in the same area. Save your AH slots for HQ items.

5. Very few dropped spells are worth AHing. BLM aga-III's are one of the exceptions. For almost everything else, you'll probably end up at an NPC. Later on, you'll find yourself doing a lot of farming where you fill up on spells, hit the nearest OP to sell them off, then run back to farm more. They're easy money.

There are other tricks, you'll learn them as you go along. It's also wise to violate those rules I told you above when you learn a trick or two about crafting. For instance, silk threads sell well to make cloth in Windurst... they're also used in a number of recipes that aren't cloth craft. Sometimes hitting the nearest AH to those guilds will net you more money in the long run. If you notice someone's skilling up on a particular item, you can also contract out to farm materials for them, might be less money, but you won't have to wait on sales. I made out like a bandit when I got to the right level to fish Monke-onke's for my friend's alchemy mule.

Re: Will the price of Dynamis ever drop?
I think another reason Dyna cost wont drop is because SE stated a while back they are trying to offset the GIL Sellers. Some Scroll quests have level caps now, and some others require a wait period of 1 day. 1Mil is a nice chunk of gil. multiplied by a bunch a day, per week, per month, per anum. That is alot of gil being taken out of circulation which cuts down on the amount Gil Sellers have access to through players.
