Dual Shock support for PS2 > USB adapter
ffxi has great gamepad support, especially with ps2 controllers by way of usb adapters. How about implementing dual shock support for ps2 controllers when used on *PC* with a *USB adapter*. I know it has forcefeeback support for native pc gamepads, but how about ps2 controls :P

Is one of those occurrences of "ps2" in your post supposed to be "ps3?" I'm guessing that's the case, because otherwise I don't get it at all, but I might be missing something.

Re: Dual Shock support for PS2 > USB adapter
I can't understand what you're suggesting because of the wording of your post. You seemed to interchange terminology abit. ie: "How about implementing dual shock support for ps2 controllers when used on ps2. "

If you're talking about implementing vibrate functionality when using a PS2 controller on a PC with FFXI then it's already been done. The FFXI Config > Gamepad Config settings should allow you to enable it. If it doesn't register then it's most likely a driver issue with the adapter.

My wife and I both use PS2 controllers for FFXI on our PCs. Occasionally she'll lose vibrate, but uninstalling and reinstalling the adapter drivers tends to fix it.

that's both good news and bad news at the same time. Good news for them, bad news for me since it doesnt seem to be working for me. Can you throw up your installation drivers? I would really appreciate it, so i can reinstall it.

Thanks for your input.

eticket109, is it possible for you to upload the drivers for the ps2 controller? Maybe mine is out of date.

I don't remember if it works during cutscenes.
Thanks starving artist, i would appreciate if anyone could upload their drivers into this thread, perhaps it can resolve this problem
