I dont k now what is involved in this but I thought it would be a pretty cool idea.
You know how SE have made catergories for your Key Items - why not do something similar for you MOg House / Locker?
Even better, make the customisable to us.
For instance, I could have headings of:
Red Mage Solo Gear
Red Mage Party Gear
Warrior Gear
Quest Items
Chest/Coffer Keys
Synth Materials
etc etc
ANd then you could choose the convential view (all items listed) or a categorised version.
Hey ho, as usual I prolly missed something out that makes this null and void, and its probably something to do with PS2 limitations -.-;;

But I find your idea interesting! :)
Organizing gear for each job, and be able to transfer more then once piece at a time would be nice. I hate using 15 mins on changing gear cuz of this stupid lag. Robbins:

Give it time.
Nice idea, but there would be so many categories and not all would be utilised (I dont keep every job's gear on my main character, I dont have that much space!)
But nice idea, maybe not as needed now with the new update, you can scroll fast through your gear using Ctrl+(left or right arrow) for PC for example. Quick way to find your gear.
Good to have an option for it though, as in you can chooose to sort it or not. http:// cerberusatemycookies.blogspot.com | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 06-15-2007, 03:04 AM | #4 (permalink) | | FFXIWiki'er FFXIWiki Team Join Date: Sep 2006 Posts: 1,572 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 102 Thanked 39x in 30 Posts Gil: 22,219 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 22,219 Donate | Re: Sorting Mog House I had forgotten about this lol.

But why not with categories? As I said, in the ideal world we would be able to customise the titles, but if that is too much work/resource why not be able to have some default category titles (again, as covered in the original post...)
If they can do it with Key Items then why not Mog Safe?

Let me expain: If you've ever in your lifetime played a Pokemon game(ok I'm weird...I like'em and it's great fun when I can't get anywhere near an FFXI machine) you'd know that you're spare characters are stored in PC boxes(like the mog safe) that can be renamed and made into custom catagiores(box1=plant pokemon) by soting them out. Personally I never do this since I'm not that much of a fanatic....
What you seem to be propsing is something similar, but I think it'd be imposible due to the PS2 limits.... | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 06-15-2007, 07:20 AM | #9 (permalink) | | FFXIWiki'er FFXIWiki Team Join Date: Sep 2006 Posts: 1,572 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 102 Thanked 39x in 30 Posts Gil: 22,219 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 22,219 Donate | Re: Sorting Mog House Originally Posted by Shadowneko | | What you seem to be propsing is something similar, but I think it'd be imposible due to the PS2 limits.... | You're presumption was right - I have never touched a Pokemon game!
Although the way I envisaged it in my minds eye was pretty much like the way they have sorted Key Items.
ANd again, referring back to original posts, I did mention the whole PS2 limit thing.

Come to think of it, we already had a way of sorting our Mog Safe long before they organized Key Items. When you choose to auto-sort your Mog Safe, the items go into a pre-determined order, grouping them together by types (food together, weapons together, body armor together, etc), and then sort them inside those groups. If you think about it, that's what the new organization for Key Item has basically done.
I already manually group my items in the fashion described in the OP. My BST gear is grouped together, and my WAR gear is grouped together. When I switch jobs, I move the entire sub group in and out, so the groups of items stay together.
Now that we can "insert" using manual sort, it's a lot easier to keep items in the Mog Safe organized like that. Certainly, it shouldn't take any more effort to do this with manual sort than it would be to define the customizable categories and then add each item to one of them. Lyonheart

I know what you mean, but the problem there lies in when I wish to group something into a stack - I hit Auto and all of my "Custom" groups of armour etc suddenly gets thrown around.
