I think that the ability to send Rare/Ex items - barring AF, of course - but certain R/E like event items, ranged items (like my Bibiki Seashell, for example, which I rarely use but don't want to toss), and the like - but ONLY to characters of the same account. Therefore, I couldn't send my friend Johnqplayer my Gold Moogle Belt or my Trick Staff II, but I could send it to my mule for storage.
Maybe I'm just grasping at straws here, but I always thought it would be nice to send stuff like that - which I don't really use, but don't want to toss, and maybe isn't storable - to my mule for safekeeping. Instead, I have to send stuff that I use far more often. :/

Like the example you said: Bibiki Seashell. You have to do a quest for it. Basically, you will now be able to obtain Bibiki Seashell without doing the quest. If that isn't a sign of a game breaking, than I don't know what is. Read my blog. ffxibrp.livejournal.com Currently: Entry #32, August 31/07.

Well I generally wouldn't plan to level any of my mules to 60 so they could use it, so I guess it wouldn't be a terribly big deal but I guess that's when S/E would have to differentiate between "mules" and "second characters." Probably too much work. ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~Aksannyi~~Hades~~75WHM~75RDM~62WAR~71BLM~~Mama Gamer~~<3 Cerealkiller~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 04-10-2007, 09:51 PM | #21 (permalink) | | Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Read my blog Posts: 979 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 92x in 64 Posts Gil: 4,997 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 4,997 Donate | Re: Will SE ever increase the range of things you can store with npcs? I would be more interested in them letting us buy another inventory, storage, mog locker, and mannequin space for 1$.
Btw space in the first place shouldn't be as hard to add as SE claims. At least, there is different views on the matter. The one I trust, the one that belongs to a well known hacker(he is responsible for creating a macro that would DC entire zones and attempting to start a LS on Atomos, the test server), is that it would only take 51 mb of server space for each inventory space added. Specifically, th PS2 client.
The one "server side" database issue I'm aware of is the number of items per sale on AH, but that has nothing to do with inventory or storage NPC. “ I’m in pain, but I’m happy.”

The main gripe I have with sending Rare/Ex gear over the mail to another ID on your account is it's sort of an unfair advantage if the Rare limit doesn't apply to the whole account, as people could horde certain items just to be assholes.
I do think there should be a seperate storage locker for random Rare/Ex stuff at the very least, like the Bibiki Seashell mentioned. Being able to throw in 10 Rare/Ex things i'm not using that may or may not be AF would be good for me to have in the future. Funny thing is this was being said before they came out with mog lockers. Odd how its impossible to add an extra 10 slots to storage an mog house space. But we can get 50 more from a mog locker. How is that possible that it cant add spots to existing ones, but can turn around an make a new seperate catogory?
I have 2 jobs at 75 an im having a tough time with space, id imagine those players wth 4 an up are having a way harder time then me. Especially if the job is heavy on gear swapping.
