One thing I learned last night. If you summon your wyvern in a level capped area, say a 40 cap, it will be a level 40 wyvern even after you leave the capped area. Make sure to dismiss and call again. I kept wondering why my wyvern was hitting for 1/3 of what he normally does and why his healing breaths were awful.

it's wrong. Healing breath is affected only by HP max of the Wyvern.
And the Breath elementary is affected only by TP of the Wyvern.

Wow, you bumped this after 8 months and posted that? I can't even begin to say how wrong that is.

Elemental breath is based off of the wyvern's current hp. The calculation used is (Current WHP * 0.182). Max hp therefore increases the range but does not directly increase the breath damage. The unresisted cap with no WHP gear is 180, based on a base WHP of 991. With Homam Gambieras, Drachen Brais +1 and Chanoix's Gorget, you can reach a WHP of 1255, which caps breath damage at 228. Deep Breathing will double the calculation for a one time bonus. The Wyrm Armet adds approximately another 0.030 to the modifier as well. I still have yet to get one myself though so I'm not sure how the boosts stack together. It would either be (WHP * 0.424) or (WHP * 0.394). Those figures can kick breath damage up into the 500. Again, the exact cap depends on 1) how the Armet and Deep Breathing stack and 2) if the Armet gives a fixed bonus or a % bonus. TP and Strafe will both affect the 'accuracy' of the breath and lower the resist rate.

Healing Breath is based off of the wyvern's max HP and will increase at every 20% of the wyvern's tp as well. The amount cured can also be directly modified by the Wyrm Armet and by Deep Breathing.

Want to have some real fun? Use a Giant's Drink in Beseiged then Empathy it over to your wyvern. Cure 6 {yes please}
