It's much easier to go to the entrance of Gugsen Mines in Konschat Highlands and ask for high level help.

I set up a macro

/shout {Help me out!}{Please}{Gusgen Mines}{Thank You.}

I got instant help from a level 75 BLM/37 WHM.
There simply aren't enough Ghouls in Valkrum to get a skull easily.
My helper had to kill about 40 to get the skill with firaga.
Seeing as 2 spawn in Valkrum, I doubt it's gonna be easy. ;]]
But if you get high level help then it becomes so easy.
Just remember to thank your helper thoroughly!

uhh ok i read through this and i didn't see any thing on this and i'm a new player so i would like to get an awnser on this... the battle system how exactly does it work and how do u set up macros to attack if ur a WAR i'm not in the game yet but will be tommorrow hopefully

you select a monster, hit attack and your character will auto-attack, just like most MMORPGs. You don't set macros to attack, macros are usually used for executing special moves (called Weaponskills) or abilities. Look (search) at the WAR forum for common macro setups.

Movement is covered in the first few pages of your game manual.

No, you don't click where you want to go ala Diablo <n>, but you do use the mouse button to indicate which direction you wish your character to start moving.

Very nice job. I've only been playing the game a month tomorrow although I've got everything down pretty good.. but there were still a few things about macros I was iffy about, but you covered everything here. So ty!

HEY GUYS .... can i ask a question i used to play this ... i was 18 ... then delevel to 17 ... anyway i never reached the top to know is there EPIC / or specail type of items in FFXI ?????

There aren't any free servers. So no FFXI for you.
