Re: DRAGONBALL Z Returns to Japanese TV in April

My first anime was... Voltron.

At least that's what I think it was. I had all the lions that you could combine into the giant robot.

I remember Super Book, too. Man, that was weird stuff considering it was Bible stories.

All you need to do is practice a lot and eventually you'll get good at it. And you don't really need anything besides lots of paper and a pencil/pen to get started. But it does take some dedication.

It's slow at first, but knowledge and skill come from practice and research, and talent is only good to speed things up or create the professional stuff. But inspiration, man that's the tough one, because you either have it or you don't. And no amount of practice can replace a muse.

Quite frankly, I'm surprised nobody has brought up power levels yet.

EDIT: Ray beat me to the post. Pretend mine came before his for the sake of context, ok, folks? <.<

Re: DRAGONBALL Z Returns to Japanese TV in April

Seriously, I bet you 99% of the dialogue they cut out is either:

Unnecessarily Long Screaming.

People explaining something that doesn't need explaining.

People doing strange Japanese poses for 10 minutes and getting that drop of sweat next to their head b/c even the Japanese think it's retarded to pose that long.

Mine was Escaflowne.

Watered down, and butchered by Fox or whoever the fuck was showing it for them, but still, Escaflowne. I didn't see DBZ until years later. Still have a nostalgic soft spot for Esca. :3

Don't forget someone repeating the same two seconds of animation (of them on the ground) and groaning.

Over nine thousand seconds spent with useless babble yes we can.
