Only thing I hate about Naruto is the filler and the cliff hangers... other than that, there's nothing wrong with it. Just because it's not "deep" like other anime/manga doesn't mean people can't like it.

My impatience nearly a year ago got me to start reading the mangas for Bleach and Naruto, and I don't think I've watched the anime since.
I enjoy the Naruto manga more than the anime which I enjoyed >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>more than the shitty dubbed version. I never realized how terribad the dubbed version was until I watched the subbed version. Atleast the Naruto storyline strikes me as being how it was intended. There's a lot left to do to really give it a good ending. Mal, if you think what's his name dieing was bad, just wait.
The Bleach manga is starting to wear on me, we've been on the same sideshow act crap for a couple months now. Haven't seen Ichigo or any of his friends in ages.

I usually watch fillers (if there's nothing better to watch at the time) but don't download them.

Bleach's baunto and Amagai fillers were pretty much non-existent to me.

I don't get it, why all the VIZ Media hate here?

I've seen both the VIZ version and the DB versions up to episode 98ish, and beyond a handful of differences in translation, and some additions that DB added, they are identical.

Also I'll point out that any anime that I go out and pick up at a Best Buy or wherever is going to have options for spoken English, or Japanese with subtitles, so I don't see why everyone is bitching about the English voice acting. Even though it IS horribly bad, just switch it to Japanese and everything's fine.

As far as I am aware there is no "English version ONLY!" out there and even if there was, you have the option to get the one with Japanese/subtitles, unless you're downloading it for free in which case your argument doesn't hold much water really.

Also, Trigun killed people, Escaflowne killed people, Wolf's Rain killed people, Voices of a Distant Star may or may not have killed people, it's open to interpretation. Point is, Naruto is hardly unique for killing off people.

Anywho, it's too bad that DB won't be doing the subs, I liked the things they added to the anime. I'll acknowledge the possibility that VIZ may have cut something out in the 98 episodes that I saw from each source, but if they did I missed it. As far as I'm aware they haven't cut anything out.

Gotta remember two things: not everything that a lot of people like is actually good (see DBZ, many webcomics), and the long a series goes on pretending to have a plot without actually moving towards some sort of conclusion, the more likely people are to just lose interest. I might've gotten into Naruto when it first started, but I'm sure I would've dropped it eventually.

Well my point was the first story arc noone on "Good"(have to put it quotes because it is all relative) side died in which you have began to like (the 3rd Hokage died but you werent attach because you didnt get to know him until later episodes). This lead me to believe it was going to be like Inuasha where the "Good" side characters you know for a long time dont die. This new story arc shocked me.

Trigun did the same thing. I did not expect the Priest to die.

That is why I like Claymore (the once a month manga -.-) and cant wait to the next manga chapter. Like I said in the previous post, noone is safe from death except the main character Claire and her human friend (and I not so sure if they are really safe).

While I won't deny that I may be a hypocrite, this isn't an example of it. My point was "flavor of the month" or in this case, year I suppose. All of the Naruto fans jumped ship to Bleach and began hating Naruto.

Some other notes: Feba, you're very correct. This thread title sucks, Mal. It does put the negative posts in a much better light.

@Vyuru: Naruto (the show, not the character) actually killing people every once in a while is no where near unique. What I was pointing out is that Bleach is terribly unrealistic in that not only do they never kill anyone, they have this issue wherein every time a bad guy becomes an interesting enough character, they're saved an untimely fate and turned into good guys!

And I'm not arguing that. I don't even want to come off saying "You guys don't understand! Naruto is gooder than FMA and One Piece and every other show that people could ever attach to!" My point: people made it popular. And then they pretended it did't exist.

As for me: Naruto anime bothers me with the excessive melodramatic talking during combat. Who seriously stops mid-fight and demands an answer about their opponent's time in middle school? And always in the same format: "What do you mean that day?" I won't even bother with English translation, but I have got back into reading the manga. It's easy to click past the "heartwrenching memory" sequences.

And of course people will lose interest. Just as I lost interest in Bleach as of Hueco Mundo or however that's spelled.

And btw, every time I see one of TickMeOff's posts, I find it difficult to read from the incredible distraction of your avatar.

I'm pretty sure Haruhi and to a lesser extent Lucky Star fit more in the Flavor of the Year category. Bleach and Naruto are lumped in there with "Really Entertaining Shonen's that might never end" category, along with One Piece.

And Bleach kills people sometimes. It's just, you know, usually in filler >_>.
