I cleared all the files I was seeding out, the only thing on the queue was the one that I was trying to download. I also tried to d/l past episodes that I had already done before and it wouldn't let me. I'm relatively noob when it comes to computers/internet workings so I don't really have any idea where to start looking, lol.

I don't mind you hating the show. Oddly, you more than most - I know you don't give a shit about what anyone else thinks so your opinions tend to truly be your own.

But look at all the posts before my 1st: not a single bit of positive connection to Naruto. And I see this a lot. But there's a reason the show got big: lots of people liked it. People who now claim they vehemently avoid it.

I just think if this thread were posted 2 years ago, we'd see a lot more love for it. If not from some of the same people bashing, they'd at least be a lot kinder about their dislike for it.

Oh well. My baseless accusations don't have a supporting argument worthy of winning this corner of The Internet. Carry on with the explanations of how every other anime is better.

To everyone worrying, why are you? DB will still translate but they won't put their name on the translations. They will give them to friends/staff only but someone will leak it to someone and eventually it will be uploaded to some BT site for you to d/l. Just be sharp and watch closely because they tend to stay up for a short time.

And for the naysayers about the anime, big whoop you don't like it. Who gives a rats ass and why did you bother to come tell us this little nugget? Feel like a big man now? Good for you. Now we'll go watch our anime and enjoy it while you puff out your chest because you think you beat us down.

I see this a lot too...I personally don't like Naruto(as opposed to dislike) because I saw 2 epsisodes of the English Funimation version which I'm sure was butchered to hell, it seemed awful, and I never really went out of my way to track down the normal version. I won't say that I dislike for the reasons people normally give, because I do like Bleach and I did like DBZ, and essentially it's all the same shit with different artists and character names.

While I dropped Naruto once it started getting into the crazy filler, and then Time Skip due to barely getting past the first arc cause of how often the SAME flashbacks were repeated during the fight with Sasori, this still kinda sucks cause pretty much all throughout high school I was getting my Naruto fansubs, eventually settling on DB since they were the only ones to keep going after it got licensed.

And Lmnop, you're being VERY hypocritical in saying people will bash something thats popular, and then in the VERY next line go on to bash Bleach. Doesn't help your argument any <_<.

That's the same thing that happened to me, except I saw a marathon like 20 episodes on Cartoon Network. I wouldn't say I dislike it since I haven't seen the JP/Eng Subbed version (AKA the Real Version). The funny thing is, when I first got into anime like 2 years ago, I only liked English Dubs. I didn't realize how horrible the english dubs were until I watched some older anime that had horrible English Voiceovers, and from that point on it was Subs 4 life.

1) Fuck the Naruto haters. I happen to like it. If you don't that's fine but that's not the topic of this thread;

2) My main point is that I'm scared of the new translations and the possibility of having to deal with the English voice actors again. Good LORD no, I can not stand Naruto's English VA. Then there's all the censoring and marketing to kids etc etc...

3) How long do you think it'll be before more anime goes this way? As I recall many of you were not happy at all about Bandai picking up Lucky Star (I still refuse to watch the English version and I'll be damned if I watch anything but the JP Haruhi! I <3 my Suzimiya!)

And Naruto's honestly not that long. Yeah it's gone on for a while but it still doesn't hold a candle to Inu Yasha (the manga is STILL GOING) or the all mighty champion of anime, Dragon Ball. Akira Toriyama didn't even want DBZ, the series was supposed to end with Frieza but noooooooo can't have that.

Incidentally that also explains why the series went so downhill afterwards; the man had absolutely nothing to do with the show beyond that point. He left and quite frankly I'm amazed he didn't sue >_> (he really should have...)


... and yay for Naruto actually having Death. The last anime to kill off anyone was FMA though killing off Sarutobi Asuma was harsh just like Hughes


EDIT: Thus far I've only liked a handful of English animes; Eureka 7(surprisingly well done seeing as Bandai got a hold of it... Crispin Freeman ftw), Gunam Wing/SEED/Destiny/Inu Yasha (all handled by Sunrise, one of the only decent groups with little censoring) FMA and Deathnote (Death Note was done by Viz though so who knows... forget who did FMA. And actually Bleach wasn't except everytime I hear Ichigo in English I think of Nero in DMC4 and vise versa @.@)


Watching the Hellsing Ultimate series atm... and this is a first. Even though it follows the manga more closely I think I actually preferred the anime...

The main problem is the vagueness of the title. When you go vague, it invites other people to click to find out what you're talking about. If this is a "Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo" for something people actually care about, it's fine. When people go "ugh, you're that upset about this?", you're going to get that in replies.

I am another Naruto fan but when they started the filler non-story arc. The worst part of the fillers was certain episodes gave character new abilites that will never be used/mentioned again. The filler episodes (even though i still watched them) cause me to start reading the Manga because I wanted to know what happened next without all the fillers.

FYI: I was shock at the current manga story arc. I didnt expect them to do the same thing as "Claymore" where the only person who is safe from dying is the main character.

Failed. Inuyasha ended 6 months ago and Naruto is already more than 50 episodes longer then Dragonball. It's still about 70 episodes behind DBZ though, but I doubt it will end before it surpasses it.

Detective Conan is the longest running anime I know of at 517 or 518 episodes as of now. But unlike Naruto or Bleach it doesn't pretend to have an ongoing story and is mostly episodic murder mysteries.

The problem with Naruto, Bleach and really any explosively popular shounen anime is that they drag on too god damn long and end up riddled with meaningless fillers and completely pulled-out-of-the-ass story arcs after the first few. I actually liked Naruto at one point, but that was almost 5 years ago. When it basically turned into a DBZ clone I parted ways with it.


EDIT: I forgot that the Naruto anime tried to restart their episode count by changing the title and adding Shippuden, so the total episodes for Naruto comes to 310, which is twice as long as Dragonball and 20 episodes more than Dragonball Z, and still going.
