If you look in the lower left corner you can clearly see he has a shield on his right arm. Everybody in FFXI is right handed and so holds their shield in the left hand, thus this cannot be an FFXI anime and is simply fan art. MYTH BUSTED |

Isn't "professional" anime just many drawings put together to make it look like its moving? lolz. I don't see how this can't be just another drawing.

What they said. The art style doesn't look like something Square would pull, and I've seen fanarts that are CG'd to look just like an anime. Also, the background looks a bit suspicious, especially around the left edge. Quote:
