I want to know if they are even starting on Berserk season two yet or if they ever will.

A shame really, such an impressive storyline and set of characters. I plan on picking up the mangas soon however, and that'll probably better than the anime.

Almost 99.9% of the time, the Manga/Novels are better than the anime ; ; (I WANT ANOTHER VHD ANIME).

I've heard rumors of Season 2. I loved the first season. And I don't read manga just for the fact that I don't read books for entertainment anyway. =P

It's too violent..though resent chapters have gotten more "mainstream" friendly. It would have to be censored a good amount, more so then season 1.

It would have to go on cable even then, which sponsors are reluctant with those price tags.

Berserk isn't really that popular, so chances are low it will have another season.

Western people have a very filtered view of manga/anime in general. There are way too many choices and berserk is not really high on the list of possibilities.

Have you read the manga? It's already watered down as it is.

The later arcs can be consider worse since in the story Gutts now lives in the age of darkness of desease and decay.

And JP broadcasting have gotten more "Western" like since then. There are far more censoring done these days.

The orginal Berserk TV was aired from TV nihon, I doubt they'll allow it this time around unless berserk scores major points with the ratings survey.

It would either have to censor a lot or would have to find a sponsor on a cable station...which is kinda hard.

berserk season 2 has been in the rumor mill for 5 or 6 years...

Yea... it's all about finding sponsors half the time... Unless you can prove that it'll get good ratings, a lot of them don't see the light of day.

There are a bunch of them, like Flame of Recca which never saw the light of day for another season. Or Noir, which got dropped(people say the last ep ratings were so badly recieved).

Then there are the success stories like Bubblegum crisis TV and AMG TV, where "cult like" loyal fans , and constant pushing came through after years and years.

Though it's really pushing it for real if you look at the air time for AMG which is on 2AM... you can say their sponsor didn't give them much...

And finally you have the series inbetween like right now Full Metal Panic 2nd season after 3 or so years in the rumor mumbling.
