Profound Darkness ---> Im almost finished with Groove Adventure Rave, up to episode 48 and so far it has been pretty good, but not great. During the beginning of the first season the story builds slowly and introduces strange (yet funny) characters. There were some plot holes on the story, but most of them were resolved in the later episodes where it gets pretty interesting i.e. Haru's father. I remember in earlier in the story, character dialogue was repetitive. Haru kept repeating the same thing over and over again, and I never liked it when he said "because nee-chan told me so". That steered me away from attaching him as a main male character since he was flat (I thought Musica was better) It changes around episode 25 and up as his character became more dynamic. He began to defend what he knows is right and not what his sister said. His resolve strengthens to find the rave and his relationship with his comrades mature, especially with Elie.

What I define as a great anime is one that I will watch nonstop. One of the weaknesses of Groove Adventure Rave is that it had slow character development and weak cliffhangers (music is also need of improvement, but we all can't be picky, ne?). Other than that, Groove Adventure Rave is an enjoyable anime with memorable heroes, well designed villians, and kawaii creatures (Except for Griff ^_^)

Ryouga ---> LOLZ you make a very, very good point about Inuyasha. I loved the anime up to episode 82, but it kinda got off track. They are taking way too long collecting the shiken no tama, which in my opinion should have been resolved WAY back around episode 60. The main plot has lost much of it's momentum.
I stopped watching the series a while ago, but after watching the movie (which is pretty good by the way) I might be getting back into Inuyasha, but that's after i finish some other anime

the artist was somewhat made to add more adventures to make the series longer by her producers.....and then because of stupid shippo, she had to add a few other episodes just to keep him alive...

My top ten in no particular order (Note: If you don't see these, you won't see your next birthday. ) and comments afterwards if you're bored:

1. Naruto
2. Akira
3. Hunter x Hunter
4. Now and Then, Here and There
5. Excel Saga
6. Love Hina
7. Cowboy Bebop
8. Furi Kuri (FLCL)
9. Kodomo no Omocha
10. Rurouni Kenshin OVA

1. My current addiction (I just got done reading 1-125 of the manga...the series is only on 15). I don't see what you can't like about this anime/manga. It's not redundant, every character is unique and amazing (except Sakura, from what I see -.-), fighting is huge part, but it's not the plot like some animes (*cough*dragonballz*cough*), and it's long, but you will never get tired of it and always want more kinda' like Hunter x Hunter. Oh yeah. Gaara (the thing in my current avatar) is also from Naruto. He's the most evil creature in the universe next to me.

2. Everytime I campare the manga to the movie, the more I hate Katsuhiro Otomo. The manga crushes to movie. The movie was my favorite anime for a while (it still is one of my favorites, obviously), but once I read the manga my love for the movie slowly diminished. He should've made it a small series or, better yet, an OVA.

3. I was hooked on this anime for a while. It basically has the same characteristics as Naruto, but the plot is completely different. Hisoka is the Gaara of this anime, but, sadly to say, Hisoka stands no chance against him.

4. Just a real original anime. Real deep, too. You have to see this series. One of the best series ever.

5. The most hilarious anime ever. If you don't laugh at this, you have no sense of humor and I'll kill you.

I sure hope you people know that there is a 9 hour version of Akira out there, its very VERY hard to find, but it is amazing. It was cut down to 2 hours for some unknown reason, and very few of the 9 hour copies were brought stateside. If your an Akira fan, try and find it, its well worth the effort. It sticks to the manga a little better.

Thnx Cloud_Nine, sorry for the late post. Cool avatar.

Not sure if i want to start groove adventure rave any time soon still. I'm hooked on Full Moon wo Sagashite, it's so cool. I'll try to start watching it after Full Moon is complete, but god only knows when that's going to complete. Full Moon is upto episode 37 and I haven't seen anything about how long the series is. Well I guess the fact that she's supposed to die in a year helps a little.
