1. Neon Genesis Evangelion
2. Serial Experiments Lain
3. Cowboy Bebop
4. .hack//sign
5. FLCL
6. Ghost in the Shell
7. Macross plus
8. Trigun
9. Princess Mononoke
10. Akira

Just recently got me all of .hack//sign from a freind, and it quickly rose on my top 10. The musical score for that is amazing. Yoko Kanno however, is still the goddess of anime music.

::EDIT::
I completely forgot DragonHalf, that would go somewhere in the top 5. Crazy crazy anime, pity there were only 2 eps.

Ok, here's some stuff I've only seen in Japanese and don't know if it's available in English...

1. Shamanic Princess: Cool magic and fight scenes, good music, not bloody.

2. Once Piece: Images aren't as good as Shamanic, but the story rocks (about pirates).

3. Maze: A little sleazy (only a little), good comedy set in a medieval fantasy world.

4. Ninja Scroll: Cause it's a classic, pretty sure you can get this one in English.

5. Inuyasha: Cool monsters, well animated, fun to watch.

5 will have to do for now, there're a lot more here in Japan that look cool, but can't remember their names just now.

Duno if i quite have 10 but here goes.

(lol toss up)
1/2.) - Blade of the Immortal. i cant put it down, i get every issue as it hits the states the week it hits, the artwork the design and flow of the series, the overall story and theme and most of all THE CHARACTERS! Manji takes the cake as my all time fave character.

1/2.) - Cowboy Bebop ( i think its a shame it made it onto cartoon network but non the less like jade said the series owns me)- music, character design, story. the series has class whut else do i havta say.

3.) Samurai X (OVA1-4) incredible artwork and great framerates helped boost this one.

4.) Rurouni Kenshin - has some dbz elements but meh good series..up till after shishio saga at least.

5.) Ninja Scroll - Classic

6.) Princess Mononoke - Can anyone match Miyazakis level of quality? and -note, miyazaki and the creator of blade are the only names of creators i can pull (as mentioned in another thread im not the most hardcore into anime)

7.) Akira - Just have to respect the amount of detail and level of quality for the time it was made, and the begining scene...

8.) Ghost in the Shell - Throw that in there

9.) Hellsing - i've only seen the first dvd but it's very promising so far.

10.) WeiB Kreuz - yeah sure its cheesy like a soap opera, so why do i like it, heh really duno but meh i guess it makes 10th. Aya is one cool cat.

wow actually made a list of 10 lol sorry if i slaughtered spellings of your favorite series:sweat:

Edit: i'd like to replace 8) with Beserk, i'm aBout halfway through but i'm really liking it so far.

LOLZ, to name just ten? That's pretty hard!

This is my list of favorite anime in no apparent order

Rorouni Kenshin - Hands down one of the best anime's out there. The OVA's are amazing!

Maison Ikkoku - The original shoujo anime. Sugoi in every aspect even though it's pretty old.

Hack Sign - Beautiful music, character design, and story depth. Music is so good, i actually bought the OST!

Chobits - kawaii shoujo anime! Much better than Love Hina (which isn't that good IMO. Don't agree with me? Check the manga and see how badly they screwed up the anime)

Vandread, Escaflowne, Full metal panic - three of the better mech animes. All three have smooth, quality animation, and memorable characters. Hororable mention goes to Vandread, which utilizes CG sequences for the mech battles, sugoi!!

Cowboy Bebop - WAY better than Trigun. That whole western theme in Trigun was overdone to death and then some more. Cowboy Bebop has better animation frame rate, and even though it was based in the future, it is more realistic than Trigun (come on, a lightbulb powers an entire city. WTF?) Spike OWNZ!!!

Jungle Guu - It's a fairly new anime so it hasn't recieved alot of attention. Okay, ah-hem.... THE MOST FUNNIEST ANIME I HAVE EVER SEEN (end caps) Watching the first episode you'll realize that the people who produce this anime have gone insane. If you want something to laugh, get this!!!

Sakura Wars - Based on the video game, it has unique mech designs and setting for the story (japan, during the industrial revolution) cool characters!

Neon Genesis Evangelion - Great anime. Bad ending. They should have swapped the last episode with the OVA movie. Dark story too once you figure out what it all means. Baka Shinji!

Dissapointing titles....
Final Fantasy Unlimited - Very, very dissapointing. Not even worth watching. If you were expecting something that parallels the Final Fantasy game don't get your hopes up.

Dragonball Z - Can you say redundency? How about storyline so played over that you can actually predict what happens next? A usual DBZ story goes like - Heroes meet enemy - > Hero fights enemy and loses -> Heroes power up and whoop the baddies -> baddies power up and whoop good guys -> good guys power up even further into a form so rediculous it resembles Mr. Universe (10 pack???) -> Final battle where they duke it out with huge fireball the size of a foot ball stadium -> good guys finally wins, but something always survives so there will be another monotonous sequel. I say, death to DBZ!:dead:
>>For the love of god!!! End this vicious cycle once and for all!!

Pokemon, Digimon, Yu Gi Oh - The english translated crap ruined the entire anime. Totally watered down, washed, and whitened so kiddy it reeks of Barney love  I could have gotten into it, but I would rather save my money for a root canal.

Gomen, if I bashed any animes that you liked.

PAI CHECK! In progress - CC Sakura, Groove Adventure Rave, Full Metal Panic

Hmm.. long list to go through T_T;;

1. FLCL - Just really fun to watch. It's short, quirky, full of energy and off the wall comedy, and the animation is top notch. I like the Pillows brand of j-rock as well.

2. Neon Genesis Evangelion - Just because. One of the first series I got into. Movies were nice and disturbing too .

3. Love Hina - I didn't really like the anime that much. But the manga on the other hand...

4. Naruto - Again, the anime is good, but the manga is spectacular. It's good that they're adhering to the manga very well so far. Some animation quality dips, but nothing as bad as DBZ dips yet.

5. Chobits - See 3 and 4.

6. Cowboy Bebop - Lots of style, good dub, fun to watch.

7. Macross Plus -Yoko Kanno music. And... did I mention the music?

8. RahXephon - Was strangely addicted to it for a long time, and then was somewhat dissapointed by the ending. Still a nice series though.

9. X - Also known as X TV, I mainly like it because I like the manga.

10.

Small list of anime I don't like but other people seem to love:

DBZ - Horrible, horrible dub. And it's repetetive. I can pick a few episodes to watch, and that's about it.

.hack//SIGN - Sweeping music, cool story, and nice animation. Too bad the pacing was snail-like. Even with a dialogue heavy anime like this, it still seemed terribly slow and lethargic. That's the only major problem I have with it.

Lolz, im not worthy of any praise

The character Pai in Vandread is one of my favorite anime characters! Kawaii!

I love it when she comes up in an episode and says PAI CHECK! and takes a pic. One of my friends does the exact same thing, everytime she takes a pic with her digi camera she says PAI CHECK! lolz
