Macro help ><

sigh i've been playin pld for a quite a while now...but i still have a lot to learn...i'm sorry if this is a noob question ><

the ability for "cover" i'm able to use it as this right?

/ja "cover" [person's name]

but if i want to cover a different person...how would i be able to do it fast enough?? 'cause i've been into situations where i can't use cover fast enough due to too much hate of a member and result of death ><;;

There're so many different member that a pld need to cover depends on situation, any of you know how to get to a member the fastest?


the second question i have is about curing macro ><;; now i finally realized that curing is important too in crucial moments but i can't seemed to find a good macro for curing while during the fight...

the is wat i do... /ma "magic" [t] but it seem to take forever to target a member that way >< i'd tried to replace [t] with [p1,p2 etc or f1 f2, etc] but dont work...

so if you guys know the way out of this plz tell me TT

(is F5, F6, F7 and F9 etc... targetin pt members? by pressin one of those button target a pt member right? )

Please try replace <t> with <st>
How it works? after you execute that macro you will have a new cursor to select your sub-target!

PS: I don't have a cure macro when play PLD because my macro space is full and don't want to change a macro set too. so use cure from magic list is my choice.

you're a PLD right? you should use <st> instead of just <t>. <st> will let you choose your target after you press the macro, similar to the way you do if you select magic from the list.

the best way to macro for you would be like this.
/ja kabau <st>
/p Covering <lastst>!! Please stand behind me

when you press this macro, you won't use the ability yet. you will get a blue cursor to choose your target.
press F1 F2 F3 F4 F5 F6 to target your PT member you want. press enter and you will use that ability on that specific member.
and the <lastst> will be replaced with the target's name you target with <st>.

same with cure. instead of waisting 6 slots for <p1> - <p6> just use <st>
/ma kearu <st>
/p Curing <lastst>!!

now the <st> works best for tank class that needs to go into attacking mode all the time. If you play WHM or other casting job that doesn't need to attack, using just
/ma cure
is easier and faster. Target with F1-F6 and press macro to heal your target.
