Does anyone else sense an insane imbalance...?

Sorry, I need to rant... When you see a MNK PLD BRD RDM WHM party shouting for a monk in jeuno, and /sea to find 3590280682983982382930868309280 attacking jobs (but not MNK) of that same level with invite up, it's a form of injustice that would piss off any frontliner... BRD I can understand, they're irreplaceable. WHM, RDM, BLM? Sure. Shouting for a specific attacking class...

Now I do hate to whine, but I feel that the whole dream asura thing is fscking bullshit. As if monks weren't powerful enough... Now they've far surpassed even rangers, who spend thousands of gil per party, in terms of both consistent AND nuking damage...

In my book, the purpose of multi-hit WS's is to go inbetween skillchains when the other person isn't ready, so you can charge it back up really fast... NOT to deal insane buttloads of damage with machinegun speed... I'm sorry but I really think square overdid it this time.

Add the fact that bones are best (by FAAAAARRR) things to level on at high levels... people don't want any melee other than MNK. No THF, no WAR, no RNG, no DRK, no DRG, no SAM... hell even no PLD. MNK MNK MNK BRD WHM BLM, now let's go gain 7k exp per hour...

I wouldn't be surprised if they come back with a nerf next update... 'Cuz right now it's just ridiculous.

It's not that I'm happy that all the other jobs were dethroned,
I'm just happy Monk has a perk at the high end.

Gustav isn't the only place to level up. DRKs are good for Ru'Avitau.

I guess this is the saving grace for monks taking the backseat to thiefs before.

Bones = best exp, Dragoons = useless against bones...

Awesome!

I'm starting to doubt the ability of Dragoons to live up to their damage dealing counterparts... Sure, I'm pretty useful right now, but what about later levels? I'm not up there yet, so this could just be me worrying like a dumbass, but I haven't heard about Dragoons doing any more than penta spam (which isn't that powerful, at least right now) and fitting in renkei well. However, Drks have Cross Reaper, which I hear is insane, Monks have Dream Asura, Rangers have had Sidewinder and the like, and thieves have had their stuff (although they're more "hate setters" than damage dealers). So where does that leave Dragoons? Not to mention Samurai... I don't know their position so well now, but last I heard, they still disliked their relative lack of power at later levels.

Monk's popularity isn't because of their dream asura move, it's because of their strength against bones and their ease to do the light renkei. Ranpere's tomb is simply the best leveling spot to go to if you have 2 monks from 71-75 (huge range). So that's why you might be seeing shouts for monks.

These days, parties are made based on where the leader wants to go, not the way it used to be (party made and THEN the place is decided). Yeah it's unfair, but in the end, they're still a monk, and when they're hunting something besides bones...
