Macro file name for PC?

Anyone know what file your macros are saved under on the pc version of FFXI? I may have to reinstall the game at some point but would really hate to have to redo all my macros from scratch:sweat: . What are some options if the macros aren't saved locally (I doubt they aren't)?

i found this
PlayOnline\SQUARE\FINAL FANTASY XI\USER

inside that USER folder you'll see a couple folders depends on hwo many character you have. it has a file name "mcr.dat"
i tried open it with notepad and that is it. it got my macro information inside.

You can choose where to save your macro list in POL somewhere. If only I was told this before re-installing. Lost allllll my macros ><

That really helps alot. Now I can install on my laptop and play on the go if I have to!
