One is the final boss for an entire expansion's storyline and the other is the final boss for a constantly repeated and frequently defeated endgame battleground. I think SE said otherwise. Diabolos was a speed bump in the CoP story and he was never really trying to kill you in the forst place, hell in his mind he was helping humanity.

I doubt AoC or Warhammer have anything to do with them releasing so much this update, especially seeing as many things are either naturally progressing changes (Campaign fixes and missions), long time projects that have seeming been worked out (changes to Eihnj, job additions), or simple left field additions that should have been in place long ago (merits, "new" NM system). People complained the last few updates were lacking yet praise this one for being stuffed full of awesome...think about that for a minute...

And if Ixion is an Avatar, cool, if not then it's still awesome. Personally I hope he's another random zone hoping HNM and one that's a bit stronger and more rewarding then the Worm.
