The main problem is the times I can actually play. I have crappy play times. Late a night mostly, but its not every night. Few people are on at those times and most dont want to interupt their real life.

I had the same thing happen to me with CoP 6-1 A Place to Return. I pulled one away and dropped it and ran back. I realize his friends didnt despawn and waited until they despawned. Click on the gate and nothing happened. Click on the Gate again and they respawned on top of me. It was instant death.
The second attempt was to kill the NM after his friends despawned and drag him back to the gate. Then drop him and then I got the CS.
What I gathered from that fight is you have to defeat the important NM close to the place you need to click on. I think there is a small time limit before it resets itself.
