| Re: Chocobo Questions Color is determined at or before birth. Feeding it certain things will only affect it's temperament and stats. If you got the egg from a vendor or from a quest then the color will be completely random (but most likely yellow). If you got the egg from breeding, then the colors of the parents can have some effect on the color of the chick, but even that is fairly random.
