Re: lvl up war !!!
If you're after PURE attack (ie. no accuracy) then there's two very common meats that you'll eat(s):

MEAT JOIKY and KABOBS. Make use of the jerky up until...... level 25ish? It can be bought from NPCs in all starting cities and other places besides. Cheap and effective. Then feel free to upgrade to Kabobs. They both add +STR and a +attack percentage to your base attack (this %-increase has a fixed maximum amount though - the 'cap' figure - which is why Meat Jerky should be upgraded to Kabobs to take advantage of the higher cap).

Again though, meat is used if you are having no serious accuracy issues!. If you're swinging your Great Axe and missing every other swing, that +attack and +str isn't helping you. Accuracy first, power afterwards. These are a DD's priorities.

Ideally, you can use equipment to address accuracy issues, then eat meat to magnify your damage output, but this can be difficult to manage on a budget and/or with little knowledge of how to dress yourself properly. The level and type of mobs you end up EXPing against also add a very real and crucial window of uncertainty concerning your accuracy:attack balance.

Best advice would be to carry at least some meat and some accuracy food at all times (PUMPKINS make good EARLY accuracy food, with the various Sushis becoming standard accuracy eats at higher levels, 30-40ish, expensive as they certainly can be).

Or there's always DUMPLINGS which offer both attack boosts and a moderate accuracy boost. Typically, not cheap though. (._.);

It's hard to give solid, 'just-eat-this' advice for food. Too many factors affect what would be most effective at any given time. Read up on what each does, consider your own gear, take into account what level/types of mobs you'll be swinging away at and try to use the food that you think will benefit you most (both performance-wise and financially.. ).

One last thing to look at: FOOD GUIDE!

Oh, Warp. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways...
