Use a great axe, level MNK for sub, Shield Break only, level MNK for sub, eat meat dishes or maybe DEF for tanking, level MNK for sub, be willing to pull, level MNK for sub, and if you can't find a party, just leave your flag up and solo Easy Prey until you do.
Also, level MNK for your sub.  Ellipses on Fenrir There is no rush. If you're not willing to take your time, don't be surprised when no one wants to give you much of theirs.
