| Re: What's the stupidest thing you've done in FFXI? probably my xp when I was on my 14sch. I assumed that the leader knew about the lack of cure 2 so didnt bother to ask the setup or if I was main heal. (things i always do on my rdm).
I arrive at the party and find I will be healing with cure 1. The setup was all DD with a ninja tank, (who of course didnt have shadows i only assume he was leveling his war sub) Not listening to my own warnings I agree to test the waters. We agree to start off taking it easy on gobs and snips, sure enough after 5 cures to the ninja and various other to random party member due to lack of hate control.
We are eating dirt, and not the good tasting dirt either shitty old gritty valkurm dunes dirt. I instantly get bombarded with you fing noob dont cast so much I cant keep hate with you curing every 5's. I simply said in auto translate I'm sorry I dont speak any english. HP'd and dropped.
Lessons learned
1. Never assume people know anything
2. Regardless of job always ask the setup
3. Hate all ninja tanks that dont have shadows that cant hold hate.
4. Never doubt my warnings again
