I suppose we could try trading Azima vampire related items. Maybe the thing about the "dhampir" is supposed to be a clue.

Edit: Or Chigoe related items...

I suppose there may be some conflict between Choh and Azima waiting for us. Also, I thought the Bastokan Blight was waaay in the past. Before Selbina or Jeuno's bridges even existed.
