| Re: why am I forced to do this quest? I did all my lower Genkais in "ye ald Alliance" (generally full 18 plus outside help) because back in the day, it really was one of the only ways it'd happen. Everyone needed it, and the "high level help" consisted of maybe two or three people that had gotten to 60-75 only about a month earlier, and weren't the pimpest of players (I still remember when news hit of the first full Kirin set had been finished on Kujata; yes, that long ago). We had a blast because everyone had to pull their own weight, and a lot of people knew each other, and there wasn't any way to know if we would succeed until the mob fell down.
Of course, that was also working under quite a bit of a different system back then, and the NMs were actually a lot harder, too. SE already nerfed the mobs, NMs, and drop rates to make the quests easier, but by no means are they soloable, nor are they meant to be. This game very much pushes party play because that's what the game is built around. Solo exists, yes, but it in no way surpasses party play in terms of XP efficiency outside of very few factors (and even then, you need party play to even be able to get to those factors to begin with). Why should this be any different?
The original level cap for the entire game was 50. It seems perfectly reasonable to require quests to break past that cap, and subsequent caps, that SE implemented as a bit of a "test" of the player to enjoy higher level play.
