From my understanding, when you have your NPC out, you take a direct 30% cut to the exp you earn. If you are not in a party, this can work to being slightly more than what you would get in a 2 man party. If you happen to be duo'ing with someone and call out your NPC, the 30% cut actually results in less exp than if it was calculated as a 3 man party. Lyonheart
