If you really want to save some time, check the moon phase, target the fish at proper level range, with the proper rod and proper bait. Zone every hour, and avoid the fatique. Don't flood the AH with the same fish to kill everyone's profit. As long as you target for fish that can skillup, your fishing skill will eventually go up.
