They prolly had it set up thinking that if people don't wanna play when they get done with the trial then they won't wanna play at all. And then they prolly forgot all about it and corrupted some files or something with a maintainence. Try logging on to one of your friends accounts or something to make sure that you can log on at all. If you can, then yea, it's something with your ID. If not, try re-installing the game.
