Re: Goblin Drink Found !!!
This would have been a lot sexier if it had been discovered before we all got auto-refresh trait and before sanction was introduced. If you already have 2/tick plus whatever MP-support jobs are in your party, another 1/tick doesn't look so hot.

For tanking, that is. Auto-refresh, sanction, parade gorget is 3/tick *without* a refresher, which is enough to make me take another look at the melee/healer concept that was posted here a bit ago. (4 if you have VC, but I don't know if it will be worth it compared to O.hat/turban + AJ/hauby.) I think it was PLD/WHM... you put that in a party with a RDM or BRD and four melees (at least two NIN or /NIN) and murder some helpless VTs. Don't load up on enmity because you want hate to bounce around the /NINs (and spread out damage for Curagas). The idea is *not* to tank, but to provide as much healing as the party needs while still contributing some melee damage.

MP *recovery* is what lets you cast more spells per minute, not MP maximum (although effectiveness per MP also plays a role, which is why you want to use curagas as much as possible). PLD are pretty good at it now, especially in a situation where nobody can rest.

There's also solo, but solo you might as well just wear Hercules Ring and live in orange HP; you get a free 3/tick regen that way too, which is nearly as good as another MP/tick.
