| Re: It's weird... (A newb's tale) I think they should require players to pass a 100- or 200-question multiple-choice test to be a Mentor. Have the questions drawn from a pool of a few thousand, and randomize both the order of the questions and the order of the correct answer to each question.
While someone could eventually write a guide for this (if the questions stayed the same), it would have to be a pretty long guide, since they couldn't just list the order of the answers. And even with that guide, it would take a little while to complete. They could even break it up into a series of tests, which can only be taken once per Conquest tally.
The idea is to not only test actual player knowledge, but make Mentor status itself a bit of a challenge to obtain. Everyone gets level 30 and the right amount of playtime eventually. If people had to actually work a bit to become a Mentor, it might narrow the field down to those who actually want to, y'know, mentor, instead of just showing off in the Dunes. Ellipses on Fenrir There is no rush. If you're not willing to take your time, don't be surprised when no one wants to give you much of theirs.
