| Re: Bonecraft Agreed. Leathers is a solid proposition. The only leather I actually farmed were ram leather since it was so easy to obtain.
I purchased all other skins at a breakeven or close to breakeven price... Some leathers resulted in profit even if skins were bought. Prices drop frequently, if you camp the AH and know the prices you're looking for, buying the skins can be break even or even profit...
You don't have to farm to make it profitable... But it does require some patience.
The more crafts I've undertaken, the more I've come to believe that patience is a crafters best friend...
I'm proud to say I don't farm anymore... And still earn more gil in less time than those who do...
As you skill up, you learn the breakeven prices of raw materials... And when prices drop below that, you know you can turn a profit... This is the one skill that farming crafters never learn...
I.e. If sheep skins sell for 1k each...and a stack of leather sells for 40k... You're looking at a 20k+ profit for doing 12 synths...
Sure you can farm an hour to get your own skins to turn a 40k profit... But I can synth 2 stacks in 15 minutes and earn 40k+.... Sometimes it doesn't pay to farm your material... The only thing that matters is profit margin.
Now if buying skins ends in a loss... Then yes, by all means farm unless you're willing to bite the bullet.^^ MUJURU of ClanDestine
