| Its possible you have sound settings above what you have the capabilities for (though i personally dont know what settings would cause a hard lock) like maybe set EAX for the highest but your sound card/chipset can't handle it? My only experience is when i played Call of Duty and had EAX on higher than i had and it really screwed me up with bad bad sound and sometimes a crash.
Also, when it hard locks does it just freeze the game where you can ctrl alt del out, or does it completely hard lock your system requiring a system reboot? |
