| My two cents, for what they're worth
Just did this mission last week. Our line up was pretty darned unconventional, but it worked.
Daihamlop - 70 MNK/WAR (ELV)
Daigoro - 70 PLD/WAR (ELV)
Metallic - 70 WHM/BLM (TAR)
Scissors - 61 WHM/BLM (HUM)
Ching - 60-61 BLM/WHM (MIT)
Sharmarali - 60 RDM/BLM (ELV)
You will notice the lack of a bard, and the fact that we had 4 mages and only 2 fighters. Basically, the strategy was this:
MNK and PLD both used SP, pounded the living tar out of the orcs one by one. I'm not really sure of the order, cause I was pretty busy. Did a bang-up job of keeping the orcs off the rest of us, except for one rogue incident where I got hit a few times, but I had phalanx on so it was all good. If a mage MUST get hit, I want it to be ME, 100% of the time. Meanwhile, BLM focused on keeping all the orcs that were not having the living tar pounded out of them at the moment sleeping. WHM x 2 did cure, cure, cure. As for me, dispel orc that was currently being fought, keep everyone but MNK refreshed, help out with sleeping, help out with curing, and keep the fighters hasted.
Woo~ Almost made it sound like I was doing all the work there, but I assure you I was not. In fact, that's a heck of a lot less than I usually do in a level up PT.
When we got to only one orc standing, mages rested for MP while the orc continued sleeping. All mages brought hi-ethers. I brought four. It was NOT enough. Well, I mean we made it through, but I was conserving MP a lot more than I would have liked. Bring at least 6-8. More if you don't have a RDM or BRD with you.
Oh yeah, and don't go in a configuration like this unless you have the utmost confidience in your two fighters. I wouldn't have, if I didn't. ^^  召75|吟75|黒75|赤75|戦72|白60|獣40|忍37| 暗37|シ37|ナ32|侍30|モ30|竜21|青14||か8| 狩7|コ7 San D'oria: Rank 10 | Windurst: Rank 10 | Bastok: Rank 10 | Cooking: 97 | Zilart - Completed | CoP - Completed |
