It's not worth it. The materials savings on failed synths due to Moglification wasn't noticeable to me. It's probably there, but it's probably something rather low. At roughly the cost of 600k to get that signboard, you'd have to do an aweful lot of synths to make that back through saved materials. It's not like Cooking does an aweful lot with expensive materials.
